What is Point Man Richland?

"We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia.  We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life.  Indeed, in our hearts, we felt the sentence of death.  But, this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God."

-- The original Point Man -- Paul of Taursus

2 Corinthians 1:8-9 NIV

Point Man Richland is a Christian faith-based veteran/military support group operated under the auspices of Point Man International Ministries.  We operate in an "Outpost" format in the Tri-Cities (Richland, Kennewick, Pasco) Washington.  Our base of operation is at Central United Protestant Church located in Richland, WA where we form the core of Central's Veteran Ministry.

Who we are:

Point Man Richland is comprised of caring veterans, some of whom have experienced the horrors of war first hand.  We've been down the trail!  Since we are veterans, we understand veteran issues such as unemployment, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and other veteran related issues.  Since we are a faith-based organization we believe there are special healing powers in our relationship with Jesus Christ.  But, we also believe that each veteran needs to come to peace with their maker in their own time.

We provide a non-threatening environment for hurting veterans or veterans who are simply searching for meaning in their lives.  Those who have been to war are changed in ways that the average person will never understand.  Our mission is to provide a loving, caring, and safe environment where veterans from all services and their families can express their concerns openly and freely without recrimination.  For this reason, we do not keep records at our Outpost meetings.  We encourage participants to vent freely in an atmosphere of compassion and understanding while we insist in maintaining complete confidentiality.

We participate at numerous venues throughout the greater Tri-Cities area and the Yakima Valley.  We also conduct training sessions on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.
